Warner Bros. has launched the very first photo of Henry Cavill as Superman in Guy of Steel. Within the photo, Cavill, who last starred on Showtime's The Tudors, wears his cape and seems to dodge causing flames. Zack Snyder's undertake the super hero film hits theaters in 2013. Additionally, it stars Can Be as Lois Lane, former CSI star Laurence Fishburne as Daily Planet editor in chief Perry Whitened, and Diane Lane and Kevin Costner as Superman's adoptive parents, Martha and Jonathan Kent. Russell Crowe and Julia Ormond play his birth parents. Michael Shannon plays villain General Zod. His partner in crime is Faora, performed by Antje Traue. Guy of Steel is created by Charles Roven, Emma Thomas, Christopher Nolan and Deborah Snyder. The script was compiled by David S. Goyer, from the story by Goyer and Nolan, based on Superman figures produced by Jerry Siegel & Joe Shuster and released by Electricity Comics. Thomas Tull and Lloyd Phillips are becoming executive producers.
